Subject:Copenhagen Tour August 13, 2018

Hi All, Is everyone interested in taking a day tour of Copenhagen? The tour guide Paul would pick us up and deliver us at the Marriott Hotel Copenhagen. The Itinerary would include :
  • Frederiksborg Slot (Frederiksborg Slot is the largest Renaissance castle in Scandinavia and has the Museum of National History of Denmark – a popular day-trip from Copenhagen)
  • The little Mermaid, (At Langelinje Pier is one of Copenhagen's most famous tourist attractionsUnveiled on 23 August 1913, The Little Mermaid, a gift from Danish brewer Carl Jacobsen to Copenhagen) is made of bronze and granite and was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale about a mermaid who gives up everything to be united with a young, handsome prince on land.)
  • Gefion Fountain and The English Church,(is a large fountain on the harbour front in Copenhagen, Denmark. It features a large-scale group of animal figures being driven by the Norse goddess Gefjon)
  • Tolbod,
  • Amalienborg Slot ( The Queen's Palace) and the Marble Church,(Home of the current queen, Margrethe II, It consists of four austere 18th-century palaces around a large cobbled square. The changing of the guard takes place here daily at noon, the new guard having marched through the city centre from the barracks on Gothersgade at 11.30am.)
  • Nyhavn. Kongens Nytorv,(Nyhavn is the perfect place to end a long day. With a cold one on the quay like the locals, or at one of the many restaurants. Originally, Nyhavn was a busy commercial port where ships from all over the world would dock. The area was packed with sailors, ladies of pleasure, pubs and alehouses. Today the beautiful old houses have been renovated and restaurants dominate the old port. Nyhavn is filled with people enjoying the relaxed atmosphere by the canal, jazz music and great food. )
  • Christiansborg Slot ( Danish Parliament) Børsen and Holmens Kirke,(Christiansborg Slot is home to Folketinget (the Danish parliament), the Prime Minister's office and the Supreme Court. Visitor highlights include the glorious royal reception rooms, 11th-century ruins and royal kitchen, all of which can be visited separately or as part of a joint ticket. The palace is free to visit and offers sweeping views of the Danish capital.)
  • the Town Hall Square,( The City Hall Square is one of the main squares in Copenhagen. This is where the famous shopping street, Strøget, begins. On City Hall Square people gather for demonstrations, to pay tribute to returning sports heroes, for big concerts, and for out door exhibitions. Also the square an important bus traffic junction.)

  • The University and Cathedral and Rosenborg Slot and the Stature of King Christian IV.(A 'once upon a time' combo of turrets, gables and moat, the early-17th-century Rosenborg Slot was built in Dutch Renaissance style between 1606 and 1633 by King Christian IV to serve as his summer home. Today the castle's 24 upper rooms are chronologically arranged, housing the furnishings and portraits of each monarch from Christian IV to Frederik VII. The pièce de résistance is the basement Treasury, home to the dazzling crown jewels, among them Christian IV's glorious crown and Christian III's jewel-studded sword.)
The tour would last around six hours. We could extend the tour an hour and include a Danish luncheon experience. The total experience would run around $330/couple.
